To have Nova Scotia Mi'kmaq, the Province of Nova Scotia and Government of Canada discuss issues, develop solutions and suggest actions with respect to M'kmaw culture and heritage.

2007-2008 Workplan Goals
1- Investigate measures for protection of on-reserve archaeological sites.
2- Promote the understanding and use of Mi'kmaw place names throughout Nova Scotia.
3- Follow up on recommendations from report on options to secure Mi'kmaw language in Nova Scotia.
4- Establish strategy for the protection and presentation of the Bedford Barrens.
5- To develop a plan to transport the Mi'kmaw regalia from Australia to Nova Scotia.
6- To enhance the Mi'kmaw presence on highway signage, the NS Doer's and
Dreamers Guide and NS maps
7- Implementation of Strategic Action Plan - MCTN
